Indian Snack Food Series Part 1

Everyone’s favourite things include pakoray, rain, summer vacation, and Ramadan.

Yes, Pakoray and Ramadan are synonymous, much as Pakoray and rain are, and this year, Ramadan coincides with the rainy season, so how can I not enjoy the song?

I’m not sure if it is the season or the deliciousness of eating pakoray at iftar that brings back wonderful memories from my youth. Since we unloved siblings did not appreciate the pakora vegetable meal until later in life, Ammi made us a boiled egg yolk instead of the pakora dish she always had prepared for maghrib in Ramazan.

Indian Pakora is a delicately fried cake with cauliflower, cheese, paneer, eggplant, or other vegetables. Fritto misto is an Italian dish that consists of dipped meat, seafood, and vegetables in batter and fried in olive oil.

‘Peas Chick and Gram are popular vegetarian foods in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and the United Kingdom.’

If you grew up in Pakistan or North India, you’ve probably heard of a parrot, a limited desi drink available on every street corner in the summer and winter. Pakora is a popular street food, but it is also a home-cooked dish in the desi family.

Pakora and monsoon

, like Lucknow, pakoray and meal time, are synonymous in many Punjabi households.

According to tradition, the spring season was a time when locals enjoyed eating pakoray fried, kachorian, purian, and various types of pakani (batter fried or fried food), so they decided to beat the vegetables during the spring and rainy season to celebrate the season.
It was street food, cheap, fast, and disgusting, but it was also an excellent snack to enjoy during iftar.

When they break the continent’s fastest people and train their taste to taste fried and smoked delicacies, Pakora recovered the iftar, almost equal to khajoor (date).

Ramadan and Pakora

Whether it’s Ramadan or not, my family is always in a pakora frenzy.
